5 Things On My Bucket List

Everyone has a bucket list. Things they want to do before they kick the bucket. My bucket list has changed throughout the years. Here are 5 things currently on my list:
  1. Visit Alaska, Montana, Wyoming and The Dakota's.  Being from Texas and loving the book Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry, I want to visit the wild frontier of our past. I am sure these states are not as wild as they used to be. I can't wait!
  2. Own a country home with acreage, horses, and cattle. I love the country. It gets so dark you can't see your hand in front of your face. You can see the bright stars and fireflies. You can hear the crickets chirping. I want to have wide open spaces. I don't want snakes though. I want to hear the sound of horses and cattle. I want fishing ponds to site by on a lazy summer day.
  3. Visit all the baseball parks with my son. I love baseball. I love my son. I can't think of a better trip for us to take together. We have already planned our souvenirs to collect and display on the wall. My son played baseball from the age of 3 until the age of 18. I was at every game to cheer him on. Now we want to kick back, eat hot dogs and drink a cold one.
  4. Visit Europe. I love the stories of the past. The Tudors, Vikings, and Rome. I want to see the buildings and landscape from the past. I want to see the world. America is a young country made up of people from the world. I want to see my family heritage.
  5. Go several missions. I want to go to third world countries and make a difference. Help out my fellow man. It doesn't have to be a grand gesture. Simply to know I helped one person would be satisfying for me.
What are 5 things on your bucket list and why?
